 “It’s like digging a hole. You know you need to get out, but you just keep digging deeper. That’s where I was.”

Jacklyn emphasizes how having someone outside the situation—whether a coach or mentor—can be crucial in helping you see clearly and breathe through the overwhelm.

 

Breaking Free from Limiting Beliefs

One of the most important takeaways from this episode is the power of catching and releasing limiting beliefs. Jacklyn explains how we often repeat stories about ourselves—whether it’s “I’m not good at this” or “This always happens to me”—and these stories keep us stuck in patterns we don’t want.

 “Awareness is the first step. Once you catch yourself saying those things, you can begin to replace them with what you actually want to create.”

 

Tools to Manage Overwhelm: The Peace Process

To help manage feelings of overwhelm, Jamie introduces the Peace Process—a 20-minute mindfulness exercise that helps release emotions and reset your state. This tool, often used in their coaching sessions, allows you to notice where emotions are showing up in your body and release them.

 “I wasn’t 100% through it after the first round, but I felt 80% better. It gave me the clarity and calm I needed.”

 

Visualization: Stepping Into Your Future Self

Jacklyn also discusses the power of visualization in creating a new identity. By imagining the person you want to be and using your senses to feel that reality, you can start embodying that version of yourself.
