Part 1: 7 Lessons From #75Hard Challenge
Oct 25, 2022I completed the #75Hard Challenge
& Live Hard Program.
What is it? And what did I learn? Find out here...
WHAT IS THE LIVE HARD PROGRAM?
The Live Hard Program is a four-part program that must be completed in one calendar year. Created by Andy Frisella known for #75hard.
- The first step is 75 Hard: Here is where I saw the most physical changes from a fitness level.
- The next step is Phase 1: This phase was a mental challenge to commit to additional tasks that push your comfort zone.
- Followed by Phase 2: This phase can only be started 30 days after finishing Phase 1, forcing a break in momentum which causes you to reset and get back on track.
- Then Phase 3: The phase makes you a better person, with more kindness, awareness, and straight-up gratitude.

THE 7 LESSONS LEARNED FROM COMPLETING THE LIVE HARD PROGRAM
#1 You Can Do Hard Things
This challenge will push you outside of your comfort zone. The easiest way to make it possible is to commit to the challenge, be decisive about your decision and keep accountable by tracking your daily actions. Focus only on the best next step based on the phase you are in. Instead of focusing on the entire year, break it down into basic steps.
#2 Build Your Mindset Muscle
This challenge includes no drinking. It also includes doing tasks that most people won't do. You will be questioned, doubted, and mocked. And this challenge forces you to be a mentally tough person regardless of outside influences. You learn to shut off what is no longer serving you as you practice building yourself up.
#3 Self-Standards Are Vital
Comparison is the thief of joy so turn off the noise from other people and focus on the person that really matters in your life, yourself. At the end of the day, someone online, someone's post, somebody else isn't you. And it's time to prioritize the standard you hold for how you show up.
#4 Habits Will Make Or Break You
Learn to build habits that support where you want to go and what type of person you want to be. Make the tasks in each phase into a habit. Stack your morning routine to get as much down as possible for YOU before you absorb the energy and information of the outside world.
#5 Surround Yourself With The Right Type Of People
Accountability builds support and momentum in your life. Seek friendships that are interested in growth. And if you are missing that in your life tag us @bedohavemovement along your journey. Because we believe in creating a ripple effect of possible change and that begins with having the courage to better yourself and seek support in making that possible.
#6 Practice Who You Want To Be
It's about practice over perfection. Step into the Be Do Have Method today by being intentional every single day with how you are showing up, where you are winning and where you can improve. It's about having fun in the process and giving yourself grace as you step into who you are becoming.
#7 Focus On The Good
Learn to see the beauty around you. It's easy to get stuck in our own heads about our own life, situations, and problems. Phase 3 of this challenge reminded me that there is so much good around us. Each person is an opportunity to connect. If you have a bad day, intentionally do something kind for someone else. Simply look for the good in every situation and put out positive energy. Those two actions will change your perspective, state of mind, and results.
If you are reading this today, I hope you know that you too can change. Perhaps it isn't this challenge that you want to commit to. Stay tuned for Part 2 next week where I dive into the top takeaways from this challenge and how you can build sustainable long-term habits into your life.
